Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced P&C; Underwriting professional with 5+ years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance underwriting. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the end-to-end underwriting lifecycle, including new business, renewals, endorsements, risk assessment, policy documentation and underwriting operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end P&C; underwriting activities across new business, renewals and endorsements.
- Review insurance submissions, exposure information and supporting documents to assess risks.
- Evaluate risks in line with underwriting guidelines, authority limits and risk appetite.
- Analyse policy terms, coverage, exclusions, deductibles and other risk factors.
- Support underwriting decisions including acceptance, referral and decline of risks.
- Work closely with brokers, agents, clients and onshore underwriting teams.
- Manage policy issuance, binders, endorsements and related documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Handle Property,



Casualty and/or Specialty Insurance portfolios.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within underwriting operations.
- Maintain underwriting records, trackers, MIS and performance reports.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, quality standards and TAT.
- Support audits, process migrations, SOP updates and knowledge management activities.

Mandatory Skills

- 5+ years of experience in P&C; Insurance Underwriting
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance
- Hands-on experience in Current Business, Renewals and Endorsements
- Exposure to risk assessment and underwriting guidelines
- Understanding of policy terms, coverage, exclusions and deductibles
- Experience with binders and policy issuance
- Good understanding of underwriting processes and documentation
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills
