Overview: The Deputy Security Officer supports the Security Officer in managing and implementing security strategies to protect the organization s personnel, property, and information. This role involves overseeing daily operations, responding to incidents, enforcing security policies, and coordinating with internal departments and external agencies. The ideal candidate has a strong background in physical and/or information security, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities Tasks

- Assist the SO in developing and implementing security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of security personnel.
- Monitor surveillance systems, access controls, and alarm systems.
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and inspections.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies; conduct investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and regulatory agencies as necessary.
- Provide training and support to security staff on procedures and emergency responses.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security threats, trends, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Deputize for the SO during absences or as delegated.




- Coordinate inspections and statutory certifications.

Qualification Experience:

- Graduate in any stream.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in security management preferably in a 300 + bedded hospital in similar position.
- Military/ Para Military, law enforcement, or corporate security background is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical security systems and emergency response planning.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in report writing and incident documentation.
- Integrity, discretion, and a high level of professionalism
