Overview: The Dialysis Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring dialysis machines used to treat patients with kidney failure or renal disorders. The technician prepares and maintains dialysis equipment, ensures patient safety and comfort, monitors vital signs, and assists the medical team during dialysis procedures.

Key Responsibilities Tasks

- Prepare dialysis machines and related equipment before each treatment.
- Assess and record patient vital signs and condition before, during, and after dialysis.
- Perform dialysis procedures as per the physician s prescription and clinical guidelines.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions and report promptly to the nephrologist or nurse.
- Mix and prepare dialysate solutions accurately.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis machines and water treatment systems after each session.
- Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Handle and dispose of biomedical waste safely according to BMW management rules.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment logs, and equipment maintenance reports.
- Educate patients about dialysis care, diet, and post-treatment precautions.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration and performance checks of dialysis equipment.




- Ensure RO plant meets required quality standards, document test results regularly.
- Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards and patient confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications Experience:

- Diploma or BSc. in Dialysis Technology / Renal Dialysis Technology is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a dialysis unit (freshers may apply).
- Knowledge of dialysis principles, vascular access care, and water purification systems.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
- Solid communication, technical, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and handle emergency cases.
