Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Digital Trust & Transformation (DTT) practice as an Manager Data Privacy and Data Protection Services.

The role involves leading and managing data privacy and data protection consulting engagements, providing subject matter expertise, driving thought leadership and contributing to business development. The successful candidate will work closely with clients across industries to help them establish and strengthen their data privacy governance and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Strategy

- Develop and implement strategies for Data Privacy and Data Protection services aligned with the firm's overall business objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to consulting teams to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Stay updated on emerging privacy regulations, industry trends and best practices.
- Support the development and enhancement of the firm's data privacy service offerings and methodologies.

2. Client Engagement and Delivery

- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on data privacy, data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Lead and manage end-to-end data privacy consulting engagements.
- Conduct privacy assessments, gap assessments and compliance reviews.
- Lead assignments related to privacy governance, data mapping, DPIAs, policy development, privacy risk assessments and compliance audits.
- Support clients in developing and implementing privacy frameworks, policies, processes and controls.




- Identify and manage privacy risks and recommend appropriate remediation strategies.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of client engagements.

3. Business Development

- Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within existing and prospective client accounts.
- Support proposal development, client presentations and business pitches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to the growth of the Data Privacy and Data Protection service line.

4. Thought Leadership

- Contribute to thought leadership through whitepapers, articles, blogs and other industry publications.
- Represent Forvis Mazars at industry conferences, seminars and networking events.
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and the development of intellectual property.

5. Team Development

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of consultants and managers.
- Provide coaching, training and career development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance team culture.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of team members as the practice grows.

6. Risk Management and Compliance

- Assess clients' data privacy and protection risks and compliance requirements.




- Ensure alignment with applicable privacy regulations, standards and frameworks, including:
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA)
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
- HIPAA
- ISO 27701
- NIST Privacy Framework

- Develop risk mitigation strategies, privacy controls and governance frameworks to protect sensitive and personal data.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Security, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Data Privacy, Data Protection, Information Security or related consulting.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role.
- Strong understanding of global and Indian data privacy regulations and standards.
- Proven experience in leading and delivering Data Privacy and Data Protection consulting engagements.
- Experience in areas such as privacy assessments, data mapping, DPIAs, privacy governance, compliance assessments and policy development.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage and influence senior client stakeholders.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, presentations or contributions to industry forums is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as required.

The following certifications will be highly desirable:

- CIPP
- CIPM
- CIPT
- CISSP
- ISO 27701 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
- Other relevant Data Privacy or Information Security certifications
