Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced VP Finance & Accounts to lead the overall finance function and provide strategic financial leadership to the organization. The role will oversee financial planning, accounting, compliance, controls, cash flow, business finance, and investor/stakeholder reporting while supporting the companys growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall Finance & Accounts function, including accounting, FP&A;, taxation, treasury, controllership, and compliance.
- Develop and drive financial strategy, annual budgets, business plans, and long-term financial planning.
- Own P&L;, cash flow, working capital, profitability, and financial performance.
- Provide strategic insights to the Founders and leadership team for business and investment decisions.
- Drive cost optimization, margin improvement, and financial efficiency across the organization.
- Establish strong financial controls, processes, MIS, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, TDS, statutory audits, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, investors, consultants, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
- Lead cash-flow planning, treasury management, banking relationships, and working-capital optimization.
- Oversee inventory valuation, receivables, payables,



and financial risk management.
- Build robust MIS and dashboards to track revenue, margins, costs, EBITDA, cash flow, and business KPIs.
- Support fundraising, due diligence, investor reporting, and financial documentation.
- Partner with Sales, E-commerce, Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and HR teams to drive profitable growth.
- Lead and mentor the Finance & Accounts team and build a high-performing finance organization.
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

- 14+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with significant leadership experience.
- CA qualification is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading finance functions in a D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, consumer brand, retail, or high-growth startup environment.
- Robust expertise in FP&A;, accounting, taxation, treasury, working capital, financial controls, and compliance.
- Experience managing P&L;, cash flows, budgets, audits, and financial planning.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce/D2C business models, marketplace economics, inventory, and unit economics is preferred.
- Experience working with founders, investors, and senior leadership teams.
- Excellent analytical, strategic, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel/financial modelling and ERP/accounting systems.
