Job Summary

Responsibilities

- Responsible for secure driving and proper operation of CFT during aircraft emergency.
- Drive CFTs to any incident/accident site inside the airport within the response time prescribed by DGCA and within 8 km area as per the DAEP.
- Develop the CFT crew members by conducting training and drills. Successfully position the CFT, apply the extinguishing media and extinguish the fire within the least possible time.
- Carryout rescue of the trapped personnel in aircraft.
- Carryout Daily Inspection of CFT and ensure its operational readiness.
- Carryout monthly testing and inspection of all equipment kept in CFT.
- Responsible for upkeep maintenance of the CFT Equipment kept in the CFT.
- Carryout all operational test of the CFTs as per schedule and under direct supervision of Duty Manager.
- Provide medical first aid to the needy at the time of crisis.
- Develop skills in the firefighters to become lead firefighter.
- Develop skills of Crew commander and capable to perform the duties of Crew commander in their absence.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform duty as Senior Firefighter in ARFF shift

Educational qualifications

- Category: 10+2 from recognized board
- Field specialization: Science (Preferred)

Required Certification(s)

- 10+2 from any recognized Board
- Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License
- Should possess Basic Firefighting certification from Aviation Fire Training Centre.
- Good communication skills.

Required Training

- PFFF, Medical First Aid, HAZMAT/DGR

Required work experience

- Industry: Airport
- Role: CFT Operator
- Years of experience: 2
- 6 years total experience in Domestic/ International/ Defence Airport fire services of which minimum of 4 years should be in the position of Fire Fighter or CFT Operator.
- Age should be less than 35 years.

Required abilities

- Physical: Should be physically medically fit to perform ARFF duties.
