Job Title: Enterprise Data Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Data Architect to establish and lead our Enterprise Data Practice. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong hands-on expertise in building and scaling enterprise data platforms across large organizations. The candidate will drive data architecture, governance, and platform strategy, with deep expertise in SAP data models and modern cloud data ecosystems.

Your Role

- Define and execute the Enterprise Data Strategy Roadmap aligned with business goals
- Establish and lead the Enterprise Data Practice, including governance, standards, and operating model
- Architect and implement enterprise-scale data platforms (Data Lake/Lakehouse/Data Warehouse)
- Provide architectural leadership across multi-cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Lead SAP data modelling and integration strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise data architecture
- Define canonical data models, data standards, and metadata management frameworks
- Drive data governance, data quality, lineage, and security frameworks
- Collaborate with business, IT, and analytics teams to enable data-driven decision making
- Mentor and guide data engineers, architects, and analysts for successful program execution
- Ensure scalability, performance, and cost optimization of data platforms

You are right fit If:

- 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Enterprise Data Management
- Proven experience in setting up and leading Enterprise Data Practices
- Strong hands-on experience with: Data Lakes / Lakehouse architectures (e.g., Medallion, Delta Lake, Snowflake, Databricks); ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks; Data modelling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical)
- Mandatory expertise in SAP Data Models (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
- Experience with large-scale enterprise implementations (5000+ employees)
- Strong knowledge of multi-cloud data ecosystems
- Exposure to data governance, MDM, data cataloguing, and lineage tools
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on





Preferred Technical Skills (Cloud Data Architecture)

- Strong expertise across multi-cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) with ability to design cloud-agnostic architectures
- Hands-on experience in building up-to-date data platforms (Data Lake / Lakehouse) using tools like Databricks, Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, and Synapse
- Deep knowledge of data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical) with mandatory experience in SAP data models (S/4HANA/BW)
- Proficiency in data integration and engineering using ETL/ELT frameworks and distributed processing (Spark, Dataflow, Glue, ADF)
- Experience in real-time and streaming data architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs, Pub/Sub)
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks
- Expertise in data security and access control across cloud environments (IAM, encryption, masking)
- Familiarity with analytics and BI ecosystems (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Quick Sight) and enabling self-service analytics
- Knowledge of DataOps / DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Ability to drive performance optimization and cost management across large-scale data platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL (Scala preferred)
- Experience in industries with complex data landscapes (Distribution/Retail)
- Experience with AI/ML data pipelines and analytics platforms
- Experience with data governance frameworks
- TOGAF, DAMA / Cloud certifications (preferred)
