Full Stack Developer for the Developmental Paediatrics Unit ( 1686)

Responsibilities

- Will be predominantly involved in App Development and research projects

Qualifications

- MTech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology and related disciplines.
- Certification in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning through a full-time coursework programme.
- Experience in full stack with application development. Proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
- Demonstrable experience in full-stack web application development.
- Working knowledge of Bash/Linux command-line environments and version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with a Python web framework such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Experience developing front-end interfaces using React, Angular, Vue.js, or a comparable framework.
- Experience designing, querying, and managing relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
- Skills in data management, data cleaning, data visualisation, and dashboard development.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design, integration, authentication, and role-based access control.
- Familiarity with cloud deployment, containerisation, or DevOps tools, such as Docker, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, CI/CD pipelines, or Nginx.




- Knowledge of secure software-development practices, including data privacy, encryption, access control, audit logs, backup, and recovery.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, maintainable code and conduct testing, debugging, and code review.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and team-oriented working skills.
- Desirable experience:
- Experience in healthcare, clinical research, public-health, or hospital information-system projects.
- Experience building AI/ML-enabled applications and deploying ML models through APIs.
- Experience with statistical programming and visualisation libraries, including Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Plotly, or Power BI.
- Experience handling sensitive patient or research data in accordance with institutional ethics and data-governance requirements.
