We are looking for a senior Operations & Business Development Manager to lead railway business development and operational activities in India.

The role will focus on developing new railway business, managing existing clients, driving sales growth, supporting tenders, coordinating project delivery, mobilizing railway resources, and supporting business compliance in India.

Reporting To: CEO / Delegate Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement the railway business development and sales strategy for the Indian market.
- Identify, qualify and secure new business opportunities with Indian Railways, Metro Rail, OEMs, contractors, consultants, operators and private railway clients.
- Develop and maintain robust relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Promote railway services including independent assurance, certification, inspection, engineering consultancy, project management, O&M; support and specialist railway resources.
- Set sales targets, prepare forecasts and monitor business development performance.
- Maintain and manage the sales/opportunity pipeline, including leads, tenders, client contacts, opportunity value and conversion probability.
- Coordinate EOIs, prequalification documents, tender submissions, technical proposals, presentations and commercial proposals.
- Support international tenders by providing Indian railway market intelligence, technical inputs, local cost information and suitable railway resources.
- Build and maintain a network of Indian railway professionals, consultants, engineers, assessors and project resources.
- Coordinate with partners and subcontractors for project delivery and tender requirements.
- Manage ongoing projects by coordinating scope, resources, schedules, deliverables, risks, costs and client communication.
- Support vendor registration,



client registration and prequalification with railway authorities, metro organizations, PSUs, OEMs and private clients.
- Support Indian business compliance related to customs, taxation, labour laws, contracts, invoicing, registrations and statutory requirements.
- Prepare regular business development, operations, tender and compliance reports.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Railway Engineering, Business Management, Project Management or related discipline.
- Strong experience with Indian railway projects, clients, contractors or operations.
- Proven track record in railway business development, sales, commercial development or client management.
- Strong network and understanding of Indian Railways, Metro Rail, Rolling Stock, Railway Infrastructure, Systems, Operations, Maintenance and Rail Supply Chain.
- Experience handling tenders, prequalification, proposals, commercial offers and senior-level client presentations.
- Experience managing project delivery and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of Indian business practices and compliance requirements.
- Excellent English communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel across India and internationally.

Preferred Experience

- Strong existing network with Indian Railways, Metro Corporations, PSUs, Operators, OEMs, Contractors, Consultants and Private Railway Clients.
- Experience with international railway consultancy, assurance, certification, inspection or engineering organizations.
- Experience supporting international/global railway tenders.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Project management or professional railway/engineering certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with ISA, AsBo, DeBo, NoBo, certification, inspection, safety assurance, engineering consultancy, operations and maintenance.
