Job Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with strong electrical and technical expertise to manage plant maintenance activities, electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance, and team/contractor coordination.The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems and plant equipment while minimizing downtime.
Job Key Skills & Competencies (Mandatory): -
Candidates with strong hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance will be preferred.Experience in a manufacturing/industrial plant environment will be an added advantage.
The candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of:
Industrial electrical maintenance, HT/LT electrical panels and distribution systems, Electrical control panels, HVAC systems and electrical controls, Induction motors and other industrial motors, VFDs and motor control systems, Relays and overload protection, Dual starters / motor starters, MCB, RCCB, MCCB and other protection devices, Motor tripping and overload fault diagnosis, Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting, Preventive and breakdown maintenance & Electrical safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Ability to lead and coordinate maintenance teams
- Good contractor and vendor management skills
- Ability to prioritize breakdowns and maintenance activities based on plant requirements
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Strong focus on safety, equipment reliability, and minimizing downtime
- Ability to maintain maintenance documentation and prepare reports.
Job Key Roles & Responsibilities: -
- Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize machine downtime
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems and associated electrical controls
- Handle and maintain HT/LT panels, electrical distribution systems, and control panels
- Supervise maintenance of motors, including induction motors and other industrial motor types
- Troubleshoot and maintain VFDs, relays, motor starters, dual starters, and motor control systems
- Diagnose motor tripping, overloading, short circuits, phase failures, and other electrical faults
- Inspect and maintain protection devices such as MCBs, RCCBs, MCCBs, overload relays, and related electrical protection systems
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical and plant equipment
- Coordinate with external electrical, HVAC, and maintenance contractors whenever required
- Supervise maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of breakdown and preventive maintenance work
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, checklists, and breakdown reports
- Monitor recurring equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, statutory requirements, and company maintenance standards
- Maintain adequate availability of critical electrical spares and consumables
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs
