Job Title: Playwright Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Playwright Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, API testing, CI/CD integration, and up-to-date quality engineering practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright.
- Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop reusable Page Object Model (POM) frameworks and test utilities.
- Execute cross-browser testing across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
- Automate API testing using Playwright and other API testing tools.
- Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze test execution results and prepare detailed test reports.
- Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure test coverage, scalability, maintainability, and reliability of automation frameworks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications





- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 2-83years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright Automation.
- Strong expertise in:
- Playwright Test Framework
- TypeScript (Preferred) or JavaScript
- Node.js
- Page Object Model (POM)
- Test Design Patterns

- Experience with:

- UI Automation Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- Cross-Browser Testing
- Regression Testing
- API Testing

- Robust understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Playwright API Testing capabilities.
- Integration with CI/CD tools:

- GitHub Actions
- GitLab CI/CD

- Experience with cloud testing platforms:

- BrowserStack
- LambdaTest
- Sauce Labs

- Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments.
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Exposure to Accessibility Testing and Visual Testing tools.
- Experience working with Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.
