Managerial Responsibilities

Build and maintain effective working relationships with business stakeholders and facilitate clear communication regarding business requirements, project progress, and IT initiatives.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Technology teams, and business users to support the planning, development, testing, and successful delivery of new applications, system enhancements, and feature upgrades.

Act as a key point of coordination between business and technology teams to ensure alignment of objectives, expectations, and deliverables.

Functional Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Documentation

- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate detailed business requirements to ensure complete clarity and eliminate ambiguity during solution design and implementation.
- Develop comprehensive business and functional documentation that enables the IT team to accurately translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Create and maintain deliverables such as:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
- Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS)
- Software Requirement Specifications (SRS)
- Use Cases
- User Storyboards
- Process Flow Diagrams
- Other relevant business analysis artifacts

Solution Analysis and Process Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve business efficiency through process optimization, technology adoption, and workflow enhancements.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements to strengthen operational effectiveness and simplify decision-making.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and solution benefits effectively to both business users and technology teams.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by documenting current and future-state business processes and identifying automation opportunities.

SDLC and Quality Assurance Support





- Possess a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), preferably within environments following SEI-CMM Level 5 standards or equivalent quality frameworks.
- Work collaboratively with Quality Assurance and Development teams to ensure solutions meet defined business requirements, quality standards, timelines, and budget objectives.
- Participate in testing activities including test planning, requirement validation, defect analysis, and user demonstration and user acceptance support.
- Experience of working in Agile Environment Creating Stories from Change requests in JIRA or any other Project Management tool

Business and Domain Understanding

- Develop a strong understanding of business use cases, operational processes, and industry-specific requirements.
- Assess the business value generated by technology applications and continuously identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation.
- Maintain awareness of the business domain, competitive landscape, and market developments to recommend new functionalities and capabilities that increase organizational and customer value.
- Contribute strategic recommendations that support long-term business growth and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Qualifications &

Certification

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related discipline.

Relevant project and product management experience is desirable.

Certification as a Certified Business Analysis Qualified (CBAP) is preferred.





Scrum master Certification would be preferred

Knowledge of using AI enabled tools for BRD creation/ Agile artifacts will be preferred

Experience

3 to 4 years of experience in Business Analysis within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain.

Exposure to credit rating processes will be considered an added advantage.

Technical & Functional Competencies

Business Analysis & Technology

- Sound understanding of software systems, software development methodologies, and technology-driven business solutions.
- Working knowledge of:
- Databases
- Software architecture concepts
- Testing procedures and testing lifecycle management
- Application development processes

Process & Governance Frameworks

- Exposure to or experience with ITIL frameworks and/or SEI-CMM Level 3 or higher maturity environments will be preferred.
- Experience working in regulatory environments governed by RBI, SEBI, or similar institutions will be advantageous.
- Requirements Management & Project Delivery

- Experience working in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and document requirements using structured methodologies and industry-standard business analysis techniques.
