- Position Title: Senior Engineer - Procurement

Position Overview

The Senior Engineer - Procurement will be responsible for developing the supply chain for our new product line, maintaining healthy relationships with existing suppliers, preventing any hindrances in production, and managing precise material accounting at our Jejuri office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain Development: Develop the supply chain network for various types of skids, compressor packaging, and piping spools.
2. Costing & Quality: Establish rigorous costing models and implement Supplier Quality Engineering.
3. Plant Procurement: Handle the procurement of both Direct and Indirect materials for the plant.
4. Vendor Sourcing: Leverage extensive sourcing experience to procure raw materials, standard and special bought-out items (especially plates, tubes, pipe, flanges, fittings, and gaskets as per ASME standards).
5. Regional Networking: Build and manage relationships with suppliers of raw materials and fabrication processes in and around Pune (including EIL-approved suppliers).
6. Commercial Negotiation: Demonstrate strong knowledge of taxes and duties, project commercial transactions, contracting, costing, fair pricing, and techno-commercial negotiation.





Critical Competencies & Experience Requirements

- Industry Focus: Sound techno-commercial knowledge preferably in the Oil & Gas industry (or related heavy fabrication / process industries).
- Technical Sourcing: Knowledge of fabrication, FRP components, machining processes, and buying experience in fabricated, molded, and machined components. Proprietary bought-out item procurement experience is a solid advantage.
- Functional Setup: Prior work experience as an individual contributor in a Purchase/Procurement/Supply Chain Management department.
- Systems: Possesses strong ERP domain knowledge, particularly in SAP.
- Work Style: Focuses on both process and results; possesses an aptitude for process improvement, attention to detail, and a focus on root-cause problem-solving.
- Soft Skills: Strong time-management, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in procurement for the Oil & Gas sector, focusing heavily on raw materials, bought-outs, and instrumentation.
