We are looking for an experienced R&D; / Application Development professional to lead the development and application of functional ingredients across wellness and nutrition products. The role will focus on converting ingredients into commercially viable formulations and working closely with customers and internal teams from development through commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop working formulations and physical samples across powders, beverages, bars, gummies, and other formats.
- Work with functional ingredients such as proteins, clear proteins, collagens, creatine, encapsulated ingredients, and specialty sweeteners.
- Evaluate opportunities for value addition based on solubility, dispersibility, particle size, off-notes, stability, and other technical parameters.
- Lead product development from bench trials to pilot scale and commercial batches.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to successfully scale formulations for commercial production.
- Qualify and evaluate imported raw materials, including specifications, sample assessment, incoming QC, and shipment-to-shipment consistency.
- Identify and troubleshoot formulation, quality, stability,



and sensory challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and commercialize new products.
- Work directly with customer R&D; teams as a technical partner and provide application and formulation support.
- Support technical evaluation of ingredients to determine suitability for in-house manufacturing, value-added solutions, formulation, or trading.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience in R&D;, Application Development, Product Development, or Formulation within functional ingredients, nutrition, food, beverage, nutraceutical, or related industries.
- Hands-on experience in formulation development and product applications.
- Strong understanding of ingredient functionality and formulation challenges.
- Experience with scale-up from laboratory/bench to pilot and commercial production.
- Knowledge of raw material qualification, specifications, QC, and supplier evaluation.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work directly with customers and communicate technical concepts effectively.
