Job Description Senior Data Modeler Databricks Medallion Architecture

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in analyzing existing FactDimension StarSnowflake data models and designing scalable Databricks Medallion Architecture Bronze Silver Gold data models The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders data architects and engineering teams to modernize and optimize enterprise data platforms

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and assess existing FactDimension data models data flows and business processes

Design and implement scalable Bronze Silver and Gold layer data models in Databricks

Translate business requirements into logical and physical data models

Define data governance conformed dimensions surrogate key strategies and data quality standards

Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize data ingestion transformation and analytics workloads

Create and maintain data dictionaries mapping documents and model documentation

Drive data model performance optimization partitioning and query tuning

Support migration of legacy data warehouses and reporting platforms to Databricks Lakehouse

Required Skills

10 years of experience in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing





Strong expertise in Dimensional Modeling Star Schema Snowflake Schema Fact and Dimension design

Handson experience with Databricks Lakehouse Architecture and Medallion Design Patterns

Strong understanding of Delta Lake Data Governance Data Lineage and Data Quality frameworks

Experience with SQL Databricks SQL and data modeling tools Erwin ERStudio Lucidchart etc

Knowledge of Data Warehouse modernization and cloud data platforms

Strong stakeholder management and requirement analysis skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with Azure Databricks andor AWS Databricks

Knowledge of Unity Catalog Delta Live Tables and Data Mesh concepts

Exposure to Power BI Tableau or other BIreporting tools

Experience in Life Sciences Healthcare Supply Chain or Commercial Analytics domains
