Summary:
We are seeking a Tester to support the API development workstream. The role requires strong software testing experience, hands-on expertise in REST API testing, and familiarity with Agile SDLC practices. The tester will ensure quality, reliability, and compliance of API-based solutions through structured testing approaches and automation.
Roles Responsibilities:
Define and execute test strategies, test approaches, and test plans for API-based solutions.
Create and maintain test cases, test data, and execute functional, integration, and system testing.
Perform thorough testing of REST APIs and validate request/response behavior.
Validate API integrations and backend workflows supporting the CDP platform.
Develop and execute automated API test scripts using Jest or similar frameworks.
Track, document,
and manage defects using standard defect management tools.
Generate testing metrics and reports for management and stakeholder review.
Work closely with development teams to analyze defects and validate fixes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Ensure adherence to quality, security, and compliance standards.
Professional & Technical
Skills:

Strong software testing experience.
Hands-on experience in API development and testing.
Expertise in REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus, but not mandatory).
Experience with Jest for Node.js testing and API test automation.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Node.js.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Exposure to AWS cloud technologies.
AI prompting knowledge.
API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno.
Experience with Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of data technologies such as PostgreSQL and GCP Big Query.
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in API Testing.
The candidate should be willing to work from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST shift.
