Job Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP ECP / Employee Central Payroll QA Test Analyst with 5+ years of payroll domain experience and strong hands-on experience in US Payroll and integration testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP), US Payroll processing, EC-to-ECP integrations, payroll interfaces, parallel testing, and end-to-end QA execution. The candidate will be responsible for executing test scenarios across SIT, UAT, regression, parallel payroll, and integration testing cycles.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute test cases and test scripts for SAP ECP / EC Payroll across SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and parallel testing cycles.
- Test end-to-end US Payroll scenarios, including gross-to-net calculations, federal/state/local taxes, garnishments, retro processing, and off-cycle payroll.
- Perform Employee Central-to-ECP integration testing, validating employee master, compensation, organizational, and position data replication.
- Test payroll interfaces including ACH/NACHA bank files, GL postings, Time & Attendance feeds, and third-party payroll vendor integrations.
- Execute payroll parallel runs and compare legacy payroll results with ECP results, documenting and analyzing variances.
- Validate US payroll tax calculations and BSI TaxFactory results across federal, state, and local tax scenarios.
- Execute year-end payroll testing, including W-2 and W-2c validation, where applicable.
- Review test scripts and scenarios, identify coverage gaps, and ensure adequate testing of business-critical payroll processes.
- Log, track, and retest defects with detailed payroll-specific information such as wage types, pay periods,



employee populations, replication steps, and expected results.
- Analyze payroll variances and support functional teams in root-cause identification and defect resolution.
- Prepare and maintain test evidence, execution reports, defect logs, and QA documentation.
- Coordinate with functional, technical, integration, and business teams during testing and defect-triage activities.
- Provide regular testing status, highlight risks and blockers, and ensure timely completion of assigned test cycles.
- Support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and post-production validation activities as required.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of total Payroll domain experience in SAP HCM Payroll and/or SAP ECP.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in US Payroll, including federal/state/local tax processing, wage types, BSI TaxFactory, garnishments, retro, off-cycle payroll, and W-2 processing.
- 2+ years of hands-on integration testing / SIT experience on SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, or ECP programs.
- Strong experience in:

- Payroll integration testing

- Good understanding of payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, payroll control record, and payroll log analysis.
- Experience testing integrations across EC-to-ECP, Payroll-to-GL, Payroll-to-Bank, and Time-to-Payroll interfaces.
- Hands-on experience testing ACH/NACHA files, GL interfaces, Time & Attendance feeds, and third-party payroll integrations.
- Experience with defect-management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM/Quality Center, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately execute test scripts, document results, identify payroll variances, and communicate defects clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and collaboration skills.
