We are looking for an experienced Solar Design Engineer with 2+ years of experience in Solar PV design and engineering. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed designs and engineering documents for ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects.

Role & responsibilities

- Prepare PV module layouts, stringing layouts and inverter layouts.
- Develop DC and AC electrical designs, including cable sizing and routing.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), equipment layouts and electrical drawings.
- Perform PV capacity calculations, voltage drop and cable sizing calculations.
- Prepare and review BOQ/BOM for solar projects.
- Perform PVsyst simulations and prepare generation reports.
- Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
- Coordinate with civil, structural and electrical teams for design integration.




- Review design comments and incorporate client/consultant revisions.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards and project specifications.
- Support senior engineers in project execution and technical coordination.

Preferred candidate profile

- 2+ years of experience in Solar PV Design & Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and solar electrical design.
- Working knowledge of PVsyst.
- Valuable understanding of PV modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT systems, DC/AC cables and SLDs.
- Knowledge of ground-mounted solar plant layouts and stringing.
- Good analytical, coordination and problem-solving skills.
