- Ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations, including the Factories Act and other applicable EHS guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across the manufacturing plant.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Organize safety training, induction programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor the proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including mock drills, fire safety inspections, and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain statutory registers, safety records, permits, and documentation as per regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with government authorities during inspections and ensure timely statutory compliance.
- Promote a solid safety culture by driving EHS initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate in any discipline with Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) (Mandatory)
