Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day store activities including material receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch.
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, and other relevant documents.
- Prepare and maintain GRNs, material issue notes, stock registers, and inward/outward records.
- Maintain accurate physical and system-based inventory records.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage, preservation, and traceability of materials.
- Issue materials to Production and other departments as per authorized requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the senior/store in-charge about shortages, excess stock, or slow-moving materials.
- Assist in periodic physical stock verification, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
- Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Update inventory transactions regularly in the ERP system.
- Maintain proper documentation of all material movements.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Planning, and Projects teams for material requirements and availability.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly inventory/MIS reports.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, material organization, and safety within the stores area.
- Follow company policies, SOPs, ISO requirements, and applicable safety standards.
- Support the Senior Stores Executive / Stores In-charge in improving inventory accuracy and store efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 1-4 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, Inventory, or Material Management.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, pharmaceutical machinery, or machine-manufacturing industry will be preferred.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP software will be an advantage.
- Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Understanding of GRN, material inward/outward, stock registers, and material issue documentation.
- Basic knowledge of stock reconciliation and physical inventory verification.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Purchase, and other departments.
