We are looking for an experienced Data & Analytics Architect / Microsoft Fabric Architect to assess the current enterprise data landscape, define the target architecture, and lead the migration of data warehouses, lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics, and reporting workloads to Microsoft Fabric.
The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, governed, and cost-effective Fabric-based solutions while driving modernization across data engineering, analytics, AI, and self-service BI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the existing Data & Analytics landscape, including data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, BI and reporting platforms.
- Define the target-state architecture using Microsoft Fabric and the broader Azure data ecosystem.
- Develop and own migration strategies and roadmaps for moving existing workloads to Microsoft Fabric.
- Architect and implement Microsoft Fabric solutions across Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Real-Time Analytics and Power BI.
- Design scalable and high-performance data architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Lead migration of existing Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, data warehouse and ETL/ELT workloads to Fabric.
- Design and optimize data ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines.
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, privacy, access control and compliance.
- Define appropriate data security models, including role-based access and workspace/data-level security.
- Drive performance optimization and cost management across Fabric and Azure workloads.
- Provide technical leadership to data engineering,
analytics and implementation teams.
- Review existing architecture and identify opportunities for modernization and simplification.
- Enable self-service analytics and modern BI capabilities using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Support integration of AI/ML and advanced analytics capabilities into the enterprise data platform.
- Define standards, design principles, reusable patterns and architecture guidelines.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, BI developers, cloud teams and security teams.
- Prepare architecture documents, migration plans, technical designs and implementation roadmaps.
- Troubleshoot complex architectural and performance issues and provide recommendations.
- Stay current with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platform capabilities and recommend relevant innovations.
Required Technical Skills:
- 6- 8 years of experience in Data & Analytics / Data Engineering / Data Architecture.
- Strong hands-on and architectural experience with Microsoft Fabric.
Expertise in:
- Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse
- Fabric Data Warehouse
- Fabric Data Factory
- Fabric Data Pipelines
- Microsoft OneLake
- Power BI
- Real-Time Analytics
- Strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Solid experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT architecture and data migration.
- Experience with data warehouse and data lake architecture.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available data platforms.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services relevant to data and analytics.
- Experience with data security, governance, lineage and access management.
- Experience with performance tuning and cloud cost optimization.
- Understanding of modern data architecture and self-service analytics.

- Experience leading enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric migration projects.
- Experience with Power BI architecture and semantic models.
- Knowledge of Azure Databricks.
- Experience with Python/PySpark.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps for data platforms.
- Knowledge of data cataloguing and governance tools.
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads and Generative AI integration with enterprise data platforms.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer, Azure Data Engineer or related certifications.
