Qualifications / Personal Attributes
- B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 6-10 years of experience in battery manufacturing, with significant exposure to plate generation operations.
- Robust understanding of plate production processes, process optimization, and quality management.
- Experience in manpower planning, shift management, and resource allocation.
- Sound knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of ISO systems, EHS standards, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to lead teams and drive operational excellence initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead plate generation operations to achieve production, quality, cost,



and delivery targets.
- Ensure adherence to approved manufacturing processes and product quality standards.
- Manage manpower deployment, machine utilization, and resource planning across shifts.
- Monitor key process parameters and implement corrective and preventive actions for deviations.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, planning, SCM, and EHS teams for smooth operations.
- Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination initiatives.
- Lead the implementation of TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and operational excellence projects.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO, EHS, and statutory requirements.
- Review production performance, prepare reports, and present improvement plans to management.
- Develop team capability through training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management of operators and supervisors.
- Support new projects, capacity expansion activities, and process improvement initiatives.
