Purpose/Objective

Head – Data Centre Engineering & Power Solutions is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving engineering excellence, power infrastructure solutioning, and technical governance across the entire Data Centre lifecycle, from concept development through commissioning and operational readiness.
The role serves as the single-point technical owner for engineering strategy, design management, power infrastructure planning, customer engagement, utility coordination, technical approvals, and resolution of critical project issues while aligning Customers, Engineering, Procurement, PMO, Consultants, OEMs, and Site Teams.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Engineering & Design Leadership - Lead Concept, Basic, Detailed Engineering, and AFC design development.
- Establish engineering standards, specifications, and design guidelines.
- Drive value engineering, constructability, standardization, and cost optimization.
Power Infrastructure Solutioning - Define power strategy from Grid Connectivity to Rack.
- Lead utility coordination, substations, transmission systems, DG, UPS, BESS, and renewable integration.
- Ensure reliability, redundancy, scalability, and energy efficiency requirements are achieved.
Technical Governance & Query Resolution - Act as the highest technical authority for engineering matters.
- Resolve technical queries from customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Chair technical reviews and approve key engineering decisions.
Customer & Stakeholder Management - Serve as the primary technical interface with customer engineering and project teams.
- Lead design reviews, technical workshops, and approval meetings.




- Manage engineering approvals, deviations, and technical commitments.
Procurement & Vendor Support - Support Central and Business Procurement teams with technical specifications, bid evaluations, vendor assessments, and technical clarifications.
- Assist in qualification of vendors, OEMs, and current technologies.
Project Delivery Support - Support site teams in resolving engineering and power infrastructure challenges.
- Guide energization, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
- Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and execution teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Graduate engineer with 20 to 23 years of experience in design engineering, power infra, project management & project execution, in large-scale infrastructure industries like data center, airports, thermal or green power or similar other infra projects.
