Job Summary:

Greenhive Billing Solutions is hiring a Medical Coder / Medical Biller with 4-5+ years of experience in US healthcare medical billing and coding.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, modifiers, claim submission, denial prevention, documentation review, coding accuracy, and payer guidelines. CPC and CPB certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience in Family Practice, Behavioral Health, Optometry, Cardiology, or Physical Therapy is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Medical Coding:

- Review medical records and provider documentation for accurate coding
- Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and modifiers
- Ensure coding accuracy based on payer guidelines and documentation standards
- Identify incomplete or insufficient documentation and escalate as needed
- Perform coding quality checks and identify documentation gaps
- Help reduce coding-related denials and claim rejections

Medical Billing:

- Review claims before submission for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure correct patient demographics, insurance details, provider details, codes, modifiers, and billing information
- Support claim submission and clean claim processing
- Identify billing errors and coordinate corrections
- Work on denied or rejected claims related to coding, modifiers, medical necessity, or documentation
- Coordinate with billing, AR, and payment posting teams when needed

Denial Management & Quality Control:

- Review coding-related denials and identify root causes
- Support denial correction, appeal preparation, and resubmission
- Track recurring coding and billing issues
- Maintain high accuracy and productivity standards
- Follow internal quality guidelines and compliance requirements

Compliance & Documentation:

- Follow HIPAA guidelines and US healthcare compliance standards
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and provider information




- Ensure documentation supports services billed
- Stay updated with coding guidelines, payer policies, and billing changes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 4-5+ years of experience in US Healthcare Medical Billing and Coding
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, modifiers, and medical terminology
- Experience with claim submission, coding review, billing edits, and denial correction
- Good understanding of payer guidelines and medical necessity requirements
- Ability to review provider documentation and identify coding gaps
- Strong English reading and writing skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to work on billing software / EMR / EHR systems
- Good MS Office / Excel knowledge
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
- Comfortable working Mid Shift or Night Shift based on business requirements
- Must have laptop/desktop, stable internet connection, and quiet workspace for remote work

Preferred Skills:

- CPC or CPB certification preferred
- Experience in Family Practice, Behavioral Health, Optometry, Cardiology, or Physical Therapy preferred
- Experience in AR follow-up, denial management, charge entry, payment posting, or claim auditing
- Familiarity with US healthcare payer portals, clearinghouses, and EMR/EHR systems
- Experience working in an RCM company, medical billing company, or provider office support team
