Job Overview

- At Griffin, communication is not content creation - it is trust-building at the highest level.
- As the Communication Lead, Griffin Club, you will own the voice, narrative, and communication engine of one of India s most exclusive founder collectives. This role sits at the intersection of brand, founder relationships, government engagement, member communication, event communication, and institutional storytelling.
- You will work closely with the Founder s Office and Griffin leadership to ensure that every message going out of Griffin - whether to a unicorn founder, a minister s office, a public-market leader, a global institution, a member, a partner, or an internal team - feels sharp, thoughtful, premium, and worthy of the Griffin room.
- This is not a conventional communications role. You are not just writing posts, invites, emails, or updates. You are helping shape how India s most consequential founders are spoken to, how Griffin is perceived, and how high-trust relationships are built through language, nuance, discretion, and speed.
- This role is built for someone with exceptional writing ability, strong judgment, high ownership, and a deep bias for action.

Your Impact In This Role

- Shape Griffin s Voice: Define and maintain the communication tone for Griffin across founder outreach, member updates, event invites, government notes, institutional communication, and brand narratives.
- Work With India s Top Founders: Write and manage communication for a private room of unicorn, soonicorn, IPO-bound, and listed company founders.
- Drive High-Stakes Outreach: Support communication with founders, investors, government offices, embassies, public-market leaders, institutions, and strategic partners.
- Build Founder-First Narratives: Translate Griffin s work into crisp, sharp, emotionally intelligent communication that feels premium, private, and high-signal.
- Power Griffin Events Experiences: Own communication before, during, and after Griffin Salons, Retreats, IPO Dialogues, international delegations, private dinners, and institutional engagements.
- Create Speed With Quality: Build systems, templates, message banks, briefing notes, follow-ups, and communication processes that help Griffin move faster without losing nuance.

1. Griffin Brand Communication

- Own Griffin s written voice across all key external and internal touchpoints.
- Build and maintain Griffin s communication principles, tone guidelines, messaging banks, and standard templates.
- Draft sharp and premium communication for Griffin announcements, member introductions, founder stories, event positioning, post-event notes, and institutional narratives.
- Ensure all Griffin communication feels discreet, founder-first, high-trust, and never mass-market or sales-led.
- Work closely with the design and events teams to ensure that visual communication and written communication feel aligned.
- Support website copy, brochure copy, event collateral, invite text, membership communication, and presentation narratives.

2. Founder Outreach Prospect Communication

- Draft founder outreach messages, warm introductions, follow-ups, membership notes, and invite communication.

- Personalise communication for high-value founders depending on their company stage, sector, public profile, and relationship context.
- Support communication for new member onboarding, application follow-ups, renewal conversations, and membership value communication.
- Create crisp founder briefs and context notes before important calls or meetings.
- Ensure founder-facing communication is thoughtful, respectful, direct, and never generic.
- Maintain a bank of high-quality outreach formats for different founder segments - listed founders, IPO-bound founders, unicorn founders, exited founders, global founders, and ecosystem leaders.

3. Member Communication

- Own regular member-facing communication across WhatsApp, email, event invites, updates, reminders, thank-you notes, and post-event follow-ups.
- Draft new member introductions for the Griffin WhatsApp group in a sharp, credible, and premium format.
- Write birthday notes, milestone notes, congratulatory messages, founder achievements, IPO updates, funding updates, and other member moments.
- Ensure every member touchpoint feels personal, considered, and aligned with the stature of the room.
- Work with the team to maintain updated member profiles, founder context, communication history, and relationship notes.
- Support renewal communication by helping articulate value delivered to members over the year.

4. Event Communication

- Own communication for Griffin Retreats, Salons, IPO Dialogues, private dinners, institutional rooms, international delegations, and closed-door founder gatherings.

- Create high-quality communication for speakers, founders, partners, government offices, institutional guests, and internal teams.
- Work closely with the events and operations teams to ensure communication is timely, accurate, and aligned with event flow.
- Prepare pre-event briefing notes for founders, moderators, speakers, and VIP guests.
- Capture post-event highlights and convert them into founder-safe summaries, internal notes, and premium archival material.

- Support Griffin leadership with high-stakes emails, formal letters, meeting notes, briefing documents, and thank-you communication.

- Use AI tools intelligently to improve speed, research, first drafts, summaries, and versioning - while ensuring all final communication has human judgment and Griffin-level taste.
- Bring structure to ambiguity and convert scattered context into clear, usable communication.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with the Founder s Office, events team, design team, partnerships team, finance team, and leadership team.
- Convert inputs from different stakeholders into explicit, sharp, action-ready communication.
- Push for clarity wherever needed - audience, objective, tone, timing, CTA, and follow-up.
- Ensure communication is not created in isolation but supports Griffin s broader goals across acquisition, retention, experience, access, partnerships, and brand.
- Be proactive in identifying communication gaps before they become execution gaps.

What Sets You Apart

- Exceptional Writing Ability: You can write with clarity, elegance, sharpness, and restraint. You know the difference between premium communication and verbose communication.
- Bias For Action: You do not wait endlessly for perfect inputs. You move fast, create strong first drafts, ask the right questions, and push things to closure.

- Founder-First Sensibility: You understand how to speak to senior founders without sounding transactional, salesy, casual, or overawed.
- Diplomatic Judgment: You know how to write to senior government officials, investors, institutions, and public figures with maturity and nuance.
- High Ownership: You take complete responsibility for communication outcomes - from first draft to final send-out to follow-up.

- Taste Restraint: You know what not to say. You can make communication feel premium, sparse, warm, and intentional.

- Process Orientation: You can build templates, systems, trackers, and documentation so that communication improves over time.
- Curiosity-Led Mindset: You like understanding people, companies, sectors, public profiles, business journeys, and the context behind relationships.

Professional Traits

- 3-4 years of experience in communications, founder s office, public relations, corporate communications, policy communication, investor relations, journalism, or ecosystem-facing roles.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write across formats - WhatsApp messages, emails, formal letters, event invites, briefing notes, speaker invites, founder introductions, post-event notes, and internal documents.
