Maximize Your Impact with TP
Welcome to TP, a global hub of innovation and empowerment, where we redefine the future. With a remarkable 10 billion annual revenue and a global team of 500,000 employees serving 170 countries in over 300 languages, we lead in intelligent, digital-first solutions.
As a Great Place to Work certified in 72 countries, our culture thrives on diversity, equity, and inclusion. We value your unique perspective and believe that your talent is the missing piece that completes our vision for a brighter, digitally driven tomorrow.
The Opportunity
The Software Architect is the technical design authority for the software products, platforms, and applications within the assigned scope, including AI-enabled solutions. The role converts business and product needs into secure, scalable, maintainable, and economically sustainable architectures and protects their integrity from design through production operations.
This position connects Product, Software Engineering, AI/Data, DevOps, QA, Cybersecurity, Operations, and the Solution Architecture and Transformation teams. It defines architectural decisions and standards, reduces technical risk, enables engineering teams, and ensures solutions progress from prototypes or conceptual designs into observable, operable, enterprise-grade software.
The Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the end-to-end architecture of products, platforms, and applications, covering context, components, deployment, data, integrations, and operations.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into clear, pragmatic, and traceable design decisions.
- Select the right architectural approach for each context-such as modular monolith, microservices, serverless, event-driven, or hybrid-while avoiding unnecessary complexity.
- Document decisions through Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), blueprints, standards, and reference architectures.
- Act as design authority and approve architecture exceptions within the assigned scope.
- Work directly with engineering teams on the detailed design of critical components and the resolution of technical risks.
- Review code, APIs, contracts, domain models, persistence strategies, and integration decisions.
- Build or guide technical spikes, prototypes, and reference implementations to validate high-risk decisions.
- Define practices for clean development, modularity, versioning, error handling, automated testing, and maintainability.
- Manage technical debt and modernization roadmaps, balancing sustainability and delivery speed.
- Design cloud-native, hybrid, or multi-cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, using portability where it creates business value.
- Define patterns for containers, Kubernetes, serverless, Infrastructure as Code, configuration, secrets management, and environments.
- Integrate architecture with CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, software supply-chain security, and deployment strategies such as blue/green, canary, and feature flags.
- Promote platform engineering capabilities and reusable components that accelerate multiple delivery teams.
- Include total cost, cloud consumption, and operational efficiency in architecture decisions from the start.
- Design secure, decoupled patterns for integrating ML models, LLMs, RAG, agents, tools, vector stores, and managed AI services.
- Define evaluation, observability, versioning, guardrails, fallback, human-in-the-loop, and prompt/configuration management mechanisms.
- Ensure AI components can evolve or be replaced without destabilizing the rest of the application.
- Partner with Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and the AI Transformation Architect to operationalize AI capabilities without replacing advanced model research or training responsibilities.
- Design for latency, reliability, privacy, cost control, and the non-deterministic behavior of AI systems.
- Define API-first, REST/GraphQL, messaging, event, asynchronous integration, and data-contract patterns.
- Guide decisions across relational databases, NoSQL, caching, search, and vector databases according to use case needs.
- Ensure consistency, traceability, idempotency, versioning, and resilience in integrations with core systems, CRM, CCaaS, client platforms, and third parties.
- Design for heterogeneous environments, legacy modernization, and multi-client or multi-country operations.
- Embed secure-by-design, privacy-by-design, identity, authorization, encryption, data segregation, and vulnerability management.
- Define availability, resilience, recovery, performance, scalability, and observability targets through measurable SLOs and criteria.
- Ensure adequate logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and diagnostic capabilities for production.
- Lead or participate in architecture reviews, threat modeling, capacity planning, performance testing, and production-readiness reviews.
- Support root-cause analysis and post-incident architectural evolution.
- Provide end-to-end delivery oversight, preserving coherence across approved architecture, code, infrastructure, and operations.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and irreversible decisions early; present clear alternatives and trade-offs.
- Define technical acceptance criteria and review major scope or architecture changes.
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Product Owners, and Project Managers without replacing their responsibilities.
- Capture lessons learned, patterns, and reusable assets to improve future initiatives.
- 8. Leadership, mentoring, and technology evolution
- Mentor developers, tech leads, and architects, raising the team s design and delivery capability.
- Facilitate decisions across teams with conflicting priorities and communicate trade-offs to technical and executive audiences.
- Evaluate technologies, frameworks, open-source tools, and managed services based on value, maturity, security, support, and lock-in.
- Contribute to engineering communities of practice, standards, and the evolution of TP s technology portfolio.
The Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or enterprise platforms.
- 5+ years in software architecture, technical leadership, or equivalent responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience taking systems from design through production and operational evolution.
- Strong experience with cloud-native architectures and highly available distributed systems.
- Recent hands-on experience in at least one enterprise stack: .NET/C#, Java/Kotlin, TypeScript/Node.js, or Python.
- Experience integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production applications, including quality and operational controls.
- Experience leading decisions across multidisciplinary teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in Customer Experience, BPO, contact centers, omnichannel platforms, or multi-client solutions is highly desirable.
- Education and languages
- Bachelor s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- A postgraduate degree in Software Architecture, Cloud, AI, or a related field is desirable but not mandatory.
- English C1 preferred; B2+ minimum with the ability to lead global technical conversations.
- Fluent Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
- Certifications - preferred, not mandatory
- AWS Solutions Architect - Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Kubernetes, Security, DevOps, or architecture certifications.
- Cloud AI/ML certifications when relevant to the assigned scope.
- Essential technical knowledge
