HCLTech hiring for Manufacturing Engineer with strong expertise in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Global Work Transfer to lead the industrialization of new products from design through production. The role is responsible for transferring products from customer or global manufacturing sites, establishing robust manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and ensuring on-time launch with the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost.
Role & responsibilities
Lead manufacturing activities for New Product Introduction projects & projects from global manufacturing sites.
• Participate in Design Reviews, PFMEA, DFMEA and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
• Develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, process flow diagrams and control plans.
• Prepare manufacturing transfer plans and risk assessments
- Define manufacturing routing and production sequence.
- Prepare Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
• Coordinate pilot builds, engineering builds and production validation.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) where applicable.
- Ensure manufacturing readiness before product launch.
- Manage project timelines to achieve successful production ramp-up • Identify automation opportunities to improve productivity.
