JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Sales Engineer

Department: Sales

Location: East india

Experience: 0–2 Years

Salary: 20,000 – 30,000 per month

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reporting To: Sales Manager

Qualification

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a relevant engineering discipline.

Freshers with good communication skills and a willingness to learn may apply.

0–2 years of experience in Sales, Technical Sales, Business Development, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new leads through market research, cold calling, references, and other channels.

Visit customer locations for meetings, enquiries, product discussions, and follow-ups.

Understand customer technical requirements and coordinate with the internal technical/service team.

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Follow up on leads and assist in converting opportunities into business.

Support the Sales Manager in achieving assigned sales targets.

Handle customer communication through calls and professional emails.

Manage routine office-based sales activities, documentation, and reports.

Prepare and maintain records of leads, enquiries,



quotations, and follow-ups.

Coordinate with Accounts, Service, Logistics, and other departments.

Prepare daily and weekly sales activity reports.

Travel to customer locations as required for business development and lead generation.

Required Skills

Positive technical understanding of engineering products/equipment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Good customer-handling and coordination skills.

Basic knowledge of MS Office and Excel.

Good email communication skills.

Willingness to travel to customer locations.

Proactive and target-oriented approach.

Ability to learn technical products and explain them to customers.

Strong follow-up and relationship-building skills.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be an Engineering graduate/diploma holder who is comfortable with both field visits and office work, has good communication skills, and is willing to travel for customer meetings and lead generation.

Salary: 20,000 – 30,000 per month, depending on experience, skills, and interview performance.
