Position Summary
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially oriented, and technically sound professional to drive strategic initiatives across Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, PMC, and Mining-related opportunities. The role requires a combination of hands-on understanding of civil engineering execution, project/site supervision, business model development, technology research, data analysis, and strong numerical capabilities.
The candidate will be expected to evaluate infrastructure and engineering opportunities, understand project execution requirements, conduct market and data-driven analysis, research emerging technologies, and assist management in developing commercially viable business models

Key Responsbilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Civil Engineering & Infrastructure
Evaluate and work on Civil Engineering opportunities across PMC, infrastructure, construction, and mining projects.
Understand project scope, technical requirements, execution methodology, and commercial considerations.
Conduct technical and commercial assessment of prospective infrastructure and engineering projects.
Study project feasibility, resource requirements, timelines, costs, and execution challenges.
Provide technical inputs to management for evaluating new business opportunities.
2. Site Supervision & Project Execution
Demonstrate hands-on understanding of site supervision and execution of civil engineering works.
Review project execution methodologies, construction practices, quality parameters, and productivity.
Identify execution-related risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders wherever required.
Translate practical site-level experience into strategic and business recommendations.

Research & New Technologies
Research emerging technologies, construction methodologies, materials, equipment, and processes relevant to infrastructure and civil engineering.
Evaluate the commercial and operational applicability of new technologies.
Benchmark existing practices against new and innovative solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, productivity, cost optimization, and execution timelines through technology.
Prepare research-based recommendations for management.
4. Business Model Development
Assist in conceptualizing and assembling business models for infrastructure, PMC, civil engineering, and mining opportunities.
Evaluate project economics, revenue potential, cost structures, resource requirements, and scalability.
Develop business cases and feasibility models for new opportunities.
Assess potential risks, returns, operational requirements, and commercial viability.
Work closely with Business Development and senior management to convert technical opportunities into commercially viable propositions.
5. Data Mining & Analysis
Conduct data mining, market research, benchmarking, and analysis across infrastructure, construction, PMC, and mining sectors.
Collect, structure, analyze, and interpret large sets of technical, operational, and commercial data.
Identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and risks through data-driven analysis.
Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, presentations, and management insights.
Use data to support project feasibility, market assessment, business planning, and strategic decision-making.
6. Financial & Numerical Analysis
Demonstrate strong hands-on ability with numbers, calculations, and quantitative analysis.
Develop and review project cost estimates, financial assumptions, profitability calculations, and business projections.
Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, and comparative evaluation of business opportunities.
Analyze project-level financial and operational metrics to support decision-making.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of data, calculations, and analytical outputs.
candidate profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering / Mining Engineering / Construction Management / Infrastructure Management or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, PMC, Construction, Mining, Project Execution, or related sectors.
- Candidates with experience combining technical/project execution exposure with business analysis or strategy will be preferred.
- Hands-on experience in site supervision and execution is essential.
- Strong understanding of project planning, costing, feasibility, and execution methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to research new technologies and assess their practical and commercial applicability.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis, number crunching, financial/business calculations, and preparation of analytical reports.
- Exposure to developing business models, feasibility studies, market analysis, or strategic projects will be an advantage.
- Strong command of MS Excel and analytical tools is essential.
- Candidates from IIT, IIM, or other reputed/desirable universities/institutions will be preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- The candidate should possess a combination of technical knowledge, execution experience, analytical thinking, and commercial/business acumen.15-20+ years of experience in Finance, with previous exposure in IPO.
