Job Description: Assistant Manager - Data and Operations (GAC Division)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and agile Assistant Manager to join our Data and Operations team within the GAC division. The ideal candidate will possess a strong finance background, proven people management experience, and expertise in automation tools and technologies. This role will involve overseeing data operations, manage team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality analytical services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, alignment of expectations, timely issue resolution, and successful delivery of team objectives.
- Oversee multiple operation support teams/groups for a range of data/content management activities.
- Ensure team members are compliant when conducting data/information collection through thorough knowledge of guidelines, policies and research tools.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity through cross collaboration and Agile methodology.
- Manage the performance review process, Career guidance and talent development.
- Hands-on expertise with workflow and project management tools such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (ADO) for incident, change,



and task management alongside Miro for collaborative visual planning.

- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of security identifiers (including ISIN, CUSIP, Ticker etc.) and manage complex cross-domain reference data encompassing organizational hierarchies and instrument-level attributes.

- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex metadata architectures and generating high-level reporting for large-scale reference datasets; proficient in leveraging CapIQ Plugins for financial analysis and Salesforce for data lifecycle management.

- Exposure to Automation Technologies including Python, SQL, Gen AI to drive process efficiency and reduce manual interventions.

- Implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet established standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Drives data quality through proactive issue resolution, Familiarity with SIX SIGMA, RCA techniques etc.
- Nice to have: Experience with data cataloging tools (such as Collibra, Alation, Azure Data Catalog), knowledge of data cataloging concepts, and awareness of the importance of capturing data lineage.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of semantic technologies (such as RDF, RDFS, OWL, and SPARQL) which are foundational for building Ontologies

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree preferably in finance or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Reference Data, Market Data or finance, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of data management practices.
- Proficient in automation tools and technologies, including Python, SQL, Power BI, and GenAI.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet established standards and stakeholder expectations.
