The Team

The Foreseer team delivers digital transformation solutions at SPGMI for information extraction from structures and semi structured documents and websites. Foreseer is a human in the loop platform that combines latest AI/ML advances with a state of the art UI for delivering multiple projects, all powered by a core distributed, cloud native, auto scalable framework.

From a foundation of disciplined processes, QA seeks out innovative testing solutions, reliable & transparent test execution, and aspires towards continuous improvement in achieving top quality.

Responsibilities

- Develop automation/performance scripts that meet organization standards and build reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated regression suites & test harness.
- Leverage tools and frameworks to build automation/performance scripts with quality code to simplify testing scenarios.
- Perform Accessibility testing and ensure your application meet WCAG standards.
- Design and develop test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications, execute test cases, and analyze and report test results to the teams.
- Work in partnership with the development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality that meets the acceptance criteria.
- Focus on building efficient solutions for Web, Services/APIs.
- Participate in internal/cross team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, test specifications, technical reviews for assigned projects in an Agile environment.
- Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities.
- Capture quality assurance data and metrics to provide insights and conclusions.
- Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery.

What We're Looking For

Software engineer with a robust inclination and motivation toward development. You will own test automation for a Java, Spring Boot and React web app built on AWS covering service, integration, and data layers while actively contributing to development work such as bug fixes, small features,



and framework improvements.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in software testing and/or development, with strong understanding of testing, coding, and debugging practices, and willingness to contribute to development tasks.
- Strong programming experience in Java (Java 17+; exposure to Java 21 features a plus).
- Hands-on experience testing REST/JSON APIs and event-driven microservices, including contract testing and root-cause analysis across service and data layers.
- Experience designing and building automated test frameworks.
- Experience testing applications backed by Redis (or similar document stores / distributed caches), including data-migration and cache-behavior validation.
- Working knowledge of AWS services SQS, S3, Secrets Manager / SSM Parameter Store and testing async, message-driven workflows (e.g., outbox/event-bus patterns).
- Experience working with GitHub Actions-based CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Container platforms and orchestration systems /EKS deployments.
- Proficiency with Git in a multi-branch (develop/release/qa) workflow.
- Familiarity with build/code-quality tooling: Maven, JaCoCo coverage, and static analysis (Checkstyle/PMD/SpotBugs) is expected; awareness of SCA/DAST tools (Mend, Fortify, OWASP Dependency-Check) a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spring Boot / Spring Cloud (OpenFeign) application testing, including OAuth2/JWT-secured endpoints (Okta).
- Exposure to performance testing (JMeter/Gatling) and resilience/chaos testing (retry, circuit-breaker, timeout validation).
- Knowledge of Splunk log analysis and Prometheus/Micrometer/Open Telemetry observability signals.
- Exposure to security testing (API security, OWASP) and accessibility testing is a plus (UI is a separate front-end application).
- Exposure to user-journey/E2E testing across microservice boundaries is a plus.
- Exposure to Gen AI tools (e.g., AI-assisted test generation, code assistants) is a plus.
