Job Title: Performance Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer to evaluate, analyze, and optimize the performance, scalability, stability, and reliability of applications and services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in performance testing, load testing, stress testing, monitoring, and performance engineering for web, mobile, API, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies, plans, and test scripts.
- Conduct various types of performance testing including:
- Load Testing
- Stress Testing
- Spike Testing
- Volume Testing
- Endurance (Soak) Testing
- Scalability Testing

- Analyze application response times, throughput, resource utilization, and system behavior under load.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams for resolution.
- Monitor application and server performance using performance monitoring tools.
- Validate performance requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Create realistic workload models and test scenarios based on production traffic patterns.
- Execute performance tests for APIs, web applications, mobile applications, and microservices.
- Prepare detailed performance reports with findings, recommendations, and risk assessments.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure optimization initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.




- 2-3 years of experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering.
- Strong understanding of software performance testing concepts and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as:
- Apache JMeter
- LoadRunner
- NeoLoad
- Gatling
- k6
- BlazeMeter

- Experience testing:

- Web Applications
- APIs
- Mobile Applications
- Microservices

- Strong knowledge of:

- HTTP/HTTPS Protocols
- REST APIs
- Web Services
- Messaging Systems

- Experience analyzing performance metrics such as:

- Response Time
- Throughput
- Transactions Per Second (TPS)
- Latency
- Error Rate
- CPU & Memory Utilization

- Proficiency in SQL for backend validation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
