- Design and develop mechanical components for company products.
- Work closely with assembly and procurement teams to ensure smooth product development.
- Understand customer and market requirements and translate them into practical mechanical designs.
- Participate in design reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Design mechanical parts considering material selection, manufacturability, ergonomics, and end-user requirements.
- Optimize product designs for durability, ruggedness, and overall cost.
- Provide timely technical support and resolve mechanical design-related production issues.
- Coordinate with the shop floor and production teams for design implementation and improvements.
Preferred candidate profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
- Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D CAD/design software.
- Experience in machine design / Special Purpose Machines (SPM) is highly preferred.
- Positive understanding of engineering materials and their properties.
- Knowledge of mechanical OEM component selection.
- Experience working closely with manufacturing/assembly and shop-floor teams.
- Good understanding of mechanical components, manufacturing, and product development.
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
