The Senior / Lead Enabling Structure Design Engineer will spearhead the analysis, design, validation, and approval of all temporary and enabling structures required for the Mumbai Coastal Road Project. This senior role requires an expert capable of leading a engineering team to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective temporary engineering solutions. The responsibilities encompass complex systems such as large-scale cofferdams, marine access jetties, heavy casting yard layouts, and specialized staging systems designed to withstand Mumbais severe marine conditions and tidal variations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering team responsible for designing temporary structures, including heavy shoring, complex cofferdams, guiding walls, and marine access platforms.
- Review, validate, and officially sign off on engineering calculations, finite element models, and structural drawings before submission to clients and project management consultants.
- Develop creative structural solutions for heavy civil formwork, falsework, and high-capacity launching gantries for marine viaducts and bridge segments.
- Oversee structural analysis under extreme static, dynamic, seismic, wave, and tidal loads, ensuring absolute structural safety in a marine environment.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for geotechnical data interpretation, directing the design of temporary high-capacity pile foundations and anchoring systems.
- Mitigate engineering risks by conducting rigorous independent peer reviews of third-party designs and executing real-time structural modifications due to unexpected site conditions.
