Indus Parking Services (IPS) is an emerging parking enforcement company located in the heart of Gurugram, India. We are a team of focused, determined, and enthusiastic professionals with expertise in managing parking spaces. We can deter unauthorized parking in commercial property, residential areas, and other places. We also provide Operation Support to Euro Parking Services.
We are looking for a Compliance Director who will be responsible for overseeing the organisations compliance, risk management, data protection, audit, and governance functions, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations, internal policies, and ISO standards while driving a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.
As a Compliance Director, your job roles and responsibilities would be:
- Providing strategic leadership and oversight of the organisations compliance, risk management, data protection, and governance framework across the operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and applicable UK and international regulatory requirements.
- Developing, implementing, and continuously improving compliance policies, procedures, controls, and frameworks to ensure consistent adherence to legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements across the organisation.
- Leading the organisations compliance risk management programme, conducting regular risk assessments, identifying emerging risks, evaluating their potential business impact, and implementing appropriate mitigation and monitoring measures.
- Overseeing regulatory compliance across all relevant business functions, keeping senior management informed of changes in legislation, regulatory expectations, industry standards, and their potential impact on the organisation.
- Acting as a senior point of contact for compliance matters, providing clear and practical guidance to directors, managers, and employees on regulatory, ethical, data protection, and governance requirements.
- Serving as the organisations Data Protection Officer (DPO), overseeing compliance with GDPR and applicable data protection legislation, maintaining appropriate data protection policies and procedures, and ensuring that personal and sensitive information is processed, stored, and shared securely and lawfully.
- Overseeing data protection impact assessments, data processing activities, data subject requests, data breaches, privacy concerns, and other data protection matters, ensuring appropriate investigation, documentation, and follow-up.
- Establishing and maintaining effective audit and assurance programmes, including risk-based compliance audits, internal reviews, data audits, safeguarding and complaints reviews, and operational compliance assessments.
- Reviewing audit findings and compliance gaps, preparing comprehensive reports for senior management, and developing corrective and preventive action plans to address identified issues, with appropriate monitoring and follow-up to ensure timely closure.
- Providing strategic oversight of the organisations ISO management systems and certifications, ensuring that required controls,
processes, policies, records, and audit requirements are maintained and continuously improved.
- Leading preparations for internal and external ISO audits, coordinating with relevant departments and stakeholders, addressing non-conformities, and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented and effectively monitored.
- Overseeing compliance with Parking Data Management processes and standards, ensuring the appropriate use and governance of parking management systems, including in-house software and Zatpark.
- Providing oversight of risk-based data audits and data quality programmes, reviewing the accuracy, integrity, security, and reliability of information maintained within internal systems and parking management platforms.
- Investigating significant compliance concerns, irregularities, complaints, potential policy breaches, and regulatory issues, ensuring that investigations are conducted objectively, thoroughly documented, and escalated appropriately.
- Reviewing and approving, where required, marketing materials, websites, presentations, client communications, and other external-facing content to ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and data protection requirements.
- Overseeing the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of compliance documentation, regulatory records, audit evidence, policies, registers, and management information, ensuring that records are accurate, complete, current, and readily available when required.
- Coordinating responses to regulatory authorities, clients, auditors, and other external stakeholders, ensuring that requested information is accurate, complete, appropriately reviewed, and submitted within required timelines.
- Working closely with senior management and department heads to embed a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation and ensure that compliance considerations are incorporated into operational and strategic decision-making.
- Designing and delivering compliance, data protection, information security, and ethical-practice training programmes to employees and management, ensuring that relevant teams understand their responsibilities and the consequences of non-compliance.
- Establishing appropriate compliance metrics, dashboards, trackers, and management reports to monitor the organisations compliance position, identify trends, highlight areas of concern, and support informed decision-making by senior leadership.
- Ensuring that compliance-related risks arising from business processes, technology, data handling, third-party relationships, and operational activities are appropriately identified, assessed, documented, and managed.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives across compliance and governance processes, identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve efficiency, reduce risk, and maintain best-practice standards.
- Maintaining a clear audit trail of compliance activities, decisions, investigations, corrective actions, and regulatory matters to support transparency, accountability, and ongoing organisational assurance.
The ideal candidate working as a Compliance Director will:
- Demonstrate significant experience in compliance, risk management, governance, data protection, audit, or a related field, preferably within a regulated, data-driven, parking, technology, financial, or similar industry.
- Possess strong knowledge of GDPR, UK data protection requirements, information governance, compliance frameworks, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Have proven experience leading compliance programmes and managing compliance responsibilities across multiple departments, teams, and business functions.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and drive organisation-wide compliance initiatives.
- Possess substantial experience in conducting and overseeing audits, investigations, risk assessments, compliance reviews, and corrective-action programmes.
- Have experience managing ISO certification and audit processes, preferably with practical knowledge of ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Demonstrate solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret complex information, identify compliance risks, and develop practical and commercially appropriate solutions.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to prepare senior-level reports, policies, audit findings, regulatory responses, and professional correspondence.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, professional judgement, attention to detail, and accountability when handling sensitive organisational and personal information.
- Have solid knowledge of data management, data quality, information security, and compliance controls, with the ability to assess risks associated with business systems and data-processing activities.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools for compliance analysis, monitoring, and management reporting; knowledge of Zoho applications and parking management systems would be advantageous.
- Be capable of managing multiple priorities and complex compliance matters independently while meeting regulatory, audit, and business deadlines.
