Position 1: Mechanical Engineer – Blast Furnace
Experience: 3–5 Years
CTC: 3–5 LPA
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of Blast Furnace mechanical equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as hot blast stoves, blowers, compressors, pumps, conveyors, material handling systems, hydraulic systems and cooling systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure maximum availability and reliability.
- Identify mechanical failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Coordinate with operations, electrical and instrumentation teams for smooth plant operations.
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintenance standards.
- Support shutdown and annual maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities for reducing breakdowns and improving equipment efficiency.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Blast Furnace / Steel Plant Mechanical Maintenance.
Position 2: Senior Engineer – Blast Furnace Mechanical
Experience: 5–8 Years
CTC: 4–7 LPA
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical maintenance activities for Blast Furnace equipment and associated systems.
- Plan and execute preventive,
predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Handle troubleshooting and maintenance of Blast Furnace equipment, hot blast stoves, blowers, pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulic systems, cooling systems and material handling equipment.
- Supervise maintenance teams and contractors during routine and shutdown activities.
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement root-cause corrective measures.
- Prepare maintenance plans, schedules, checklists and equipment history.
- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical and Instrumentation departments for plant reliability.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor spare parts requirements and support maintenance planning.
- Drive initiatives for improving equipment availability, reliability and productivity.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Blast Furnace / Integrated Steel Plant Mechanical Maintenance.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Blast Furnace mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
- Experience in breakdown analysis and preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems.
- Good team-handling and coordination skills.
- Solid focus on safety and equipment reliability.
