Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end import logistics operations from China to Kolkata Port.
- Coordinate and monitor FOB and CIF shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and overseas agents for shipment planning and execution.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA) for smooth customs clearance of imported consignments.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain import documentation including Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, and related documents.
- Track shipment status and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate freight booking, vessel schedules, and transportation arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs procedures, and company policies.
- Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and logistics-related issues.




- Maintain records of import transactions, freight costs, duties, and clearance activities.
- Support cost optimization initiatives related to freight and logistics operations.

Preferred candidate profile

- Solid knowledge of import logistics, shipping, and international trade procedures.
- Experience in handling FOB and CIF shipments.
- Understanding of customs clearance processes and import documentation.
- Coordination skills for working with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and ERP systems.
- Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
