About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP IBP professional to design, configure, and support integrated business planning solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise across core IBP planning processes, with working knowledge of CI-DS/CI for system integration. Candidates with additional experience in Order-Based Planning (OBP) will have a distinct advantage.

Mandatory Skills (Must-Have)

- 5–7 years of overall SAP experience, with a minimum of 4+ years hands-on in SAP IBP
- Strong, hands-on configuration experience in one or more IBP modules: Demand, Supply Planning, Response, Inventory Optimization, S&OP;
- Solid understanding of SAP IBP planning areas, master data types, key figures, planning views, and time profiles
- Experience building and maintaining planning models, algorithms (forecasting models, heuristics, optimizer setup)
- Working knowledge of integrating SAP IBP with SAP ECC/S4HANA via CI/CIDS
- Minimum 1–2 full lifecycle SAP IBP implementations (blueprint through go-live/Hypercare)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills

Key Responsibilities

- Lead or support end-to-end SAP IBP implementations — requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support
- Design and configure planning areas, master data structures, key figures, and planning views within SAP IBP
- Configure and optimize forecasting algorithms, supply heuristics, and optimizer settings based on business requirements
- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to understand planning processes and translate them into IBP configuration
- Perform data validation, exception/alert configuration,



and performance tuning of planning runs
- Coordinate with technical teams on CI-DS data flows for master, transactional, and time-series data between ECC/S4HANA and IBP
- Support UAT, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization
- Prepare functional/technical documentation, training materials, and conduct end-user training
- Troubleshoot and resolve planning-related production issues; provide ongoing application support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain, demand planning, and finance

Added Advantage: Order-Based Planning (OBP)

Candidates with experience in the following will be given preference:

- Configuring order-based heuristics (constrained/unconstrained), order categories, and order-based attributes
- Setting up sourcing rules and priority profiles for order-driven planning
- Implementing Allocation Planning (quota arrangement/fair-share/priority-based) and ATP/CTP logic
- Handling priority-based order confirmation/re-confirmation during supply shortages
- Understanding of the handoff between time-series (mid/long-term) and order-based (short-term/execution) planning horizons

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, or related field
- Strong understanding of SAP IBP core concepts, data model, and planning processes
- Ability to work independently and manage planning workstreams end-to-end
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with planners and business leadership

Preferred/Good to Have

- SAP IBP certification
- Exposure to SAP Advanced ATP (aATP)
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for planning dashboards
- Prior experience migrating from SAP APO to IBP
- Prior consulting/implementation partner background

Soft Skills

- Solid problem-solving mindset for planning process design and issue resolution
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Comfortable engaging directly with supply chain planners and business leadership
- Willingness to work in onsite-offshore delivery models, if required
