We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Testing & Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing manual testing of web-based applications, identifying and reporting defects, providing production/application support, troubleshooting customer issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a customer-focused mindset.

## Key Responsibilities

### Manual Testing

* Prepare and execute test cases based on business requirements.

* Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.

* Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.

* Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing.

* Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.

* Participate in requirement analysis and test planning.

* Maintain test documentation and test execution reports.

### Application Support

* Monitor application health and investigate production issues.

* Analyze logs and troubleshoot application-related problems.

* Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents.

* Provide timely updates to customers regarding issue status.

* Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.

* Monitor scheduled jobs and ensure successful completion.

* Support deployment activities and post-release validation.

* Create and maintain knowledge base articles and support documentation.





### Customer Communication

* Handle customer-reported issues through email, ticketing systems, or meetings.

* Provide regular status updates and maintain SLA compliance.

* Escalate critical issues appropriately.

## Required Skills

* Strong knowledge of Manual Testing concepts and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

* Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

* Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.

* Experience with SQL for data validation.

* Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing.

* Knowledge of web applications and browser debugging tools.

* Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure.

* Willingness to participate in production support and weekend/on-call rotations when required.

## Preferred Skills

* Experience with document management or enterprise applications.

* Familiarity with Windows server environments.

* Experience with log analysis tools.

* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.

* Exposure to ETL/Data Validation testing is an advantage.

## Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

* 2 - 4 years of experience in Manual Testing and Application Support.

## Nice to Have

* ISTQB Certification.

* Experience with SQL Server or Oracle databases.

* Knowledge of Azure or AWS environments.
