We are looking for an experienced MT5 / MQL5 Algorithmic Trading Developer to develop, test, optimize and maintain automated trading systems primarily for XAUUSD (Gold).

MT5 / MQL5 Algo Trading Developer

Location: Chennai / Remote
Employment: Full-time / Part-time / Contract

Responsibilities

The selected developer will be responsible for:

- Developing fully automated MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisors (EAs) using MQL5.
- Converting manual XAUUSD trading strategies into executable trading algorithms.
- Developing strategies for 1-minute, 5-minute and other intraday timeframes.
- Implementing entry and exit conditions based on:
- Candlestick patterns
- Support and resistance
- Trend analysis
- Moving averages
- RSI
- MACD
- ATR
- ADX
- Volume
- Price action
- Dow Theory / market structure

- Developing advanced money-management and position-sizing systems.
- Implementing:

- Stop Loss
- Take Profit
- Trailing Stop
- Break-even
- Partial profit booking
- Dynamic lot sizing
- Recovery/hedging systems

- Developing appropriate safeguards for martingale or progressive lot-sizing strategies.
- Creating configurable trading sessions and news filters.
- Integrating economic-news or external data APIs where required.
- Developing communication between MT5 and Python where necessary.
- Performing backtesting using historical tick data.
- Conducting forward testing on demo accounts.
- Optimizing strategies without excessive curve-fitting.
- Preparing detailed reports showing:

- Profit factor
- Maximum drawdown
- Win rate
- Expected payoff
- Recovery factor
- Total trades
- Monthly returns

- Troubleshooting and maintaining existing Expert Advisors.
- Protecting the confidentiality and source code of proprietary trading strategies.

Essential Technical Skills

Candidates should have strong experience in:

- Demonstrable experience developing successful MT5 Expert Advisors.
- Ability to show previous MQL5 projects or portfolio.
- Solid debugging and analytical ability.
- Ability to translate trading rules accurately into software logic.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) covering proprietary trading strategies and source code.

Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate a previously developed MT5 Expert Advisor or complete a small technical assessment before final selection.
