Position Description

Production supervisor

Position Title Production Engineer

Department Production

Reports to Head-Production,

Location Melmaruvathur Plant, Chennai

Objectives:

The Production Engineer will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes are efficient,

compliant, and continuously improving. Key objectives include:

- Driving continual improvement activities across the shop floor.
- Maintaining and updating all necessary production documents to meet IMS and ISO

standards.

- Engaging the operation team to align their efforts with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Production

Engineering.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of qualified experience in a similar position.
- Proven experience in industrial operations, industrial audit, HSE (Health, Safety, and

Environment), or Process Risk management.

- Direct experience with the implementation of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
- Experience in the maintenance of ISO documentation.
- Experience in using statistical process control tools.
- Familiarity with the Air Liquide Industrial management system is a plus.
- Knowledge of an ERP system (preferably BaaN IVc).

Work Experience

- Industrial operations, industrial audit, HSE or Process Risk management.
- ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 implementation.
- Air Liquide Industrial management system

Language

- English skills:
- Understanding of texts that contain job-related language,




- Verbal communication allowing him/her to exchange on job-related matters
- Ability to speak Tamil preferable

Roles& Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Process & Planning:

- Prepare Weekly Production plan for the Operators and equipment inside the workshop.
- Perform Gap analysis and prepare an action plan on a weekly basis.
- Initiate Process improvement Kaizens.
- Anticipate and identify the bottleneck and implement counter measures.
- Develop and manage the Production plan in accordance with Customer Requirements.

Position Description

- Monitor the work floor to ensure adherence to Work Procedures.
- Ensure the availability of updated Work Instructions across the workshop.
- Encourage Polyvalence and adhere to Training procedures.
- Maintain Qualification matrix and annual training plan.
- Qualification of operators in different domains.

Other key responsibilities

- Timesheet Management & Project production order closing in Baan.
- Inter-department coordination with Cross Functional Teams.
- Facing internal & external audits for the production process.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Drawing reading and teaching skills to the operators.
- Providing support, notably to the production manager , in order to ensure the proper understanding

and implementation of the process,

- Monitoring and evaluating the process effectiveness, in order to determine and implement

improvement actions if necessary,

- Ensuring that data and information related to the process performance are collected, analyzed and

evaluated, and reviewed during management review meetings.
