Job Description

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

o Works with engineering leads to develop systems requirements

o Works closely with software developers to create software test work products including test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports.

o Prepares software test status reports and presents status to management and other stake holders.

o Performs procedure validations, software builds, and test administration.

o Traces system requirements from customer specifications to test cases in JIRA

o Prepares presentation material and leads internal Test Readiness Reviews.

o Provides technical guidance and training to junior test personnel.

o Keeps abreast of improvements in system test engineering techniques.

o Interfaces with hardware, software, and systems engineers to evaluate test alternatives.

o Interfaces with the QA organization to perform any corrective actions resulting from reviews and audits.

o Performs other system test engineering duties as required to meet contractual requirements.

o Writes device/system procedures and conduct tests.

o Work closely with Engineering, with direct involvement from Analysis and Design phase of the product itself, to ensure better and timely product delivery

o Communicate clearly and effectively with staff at different locations to ensure coordination

o Support any other departmental projects/tasks as and when directed by Supervisor

o Conducts integration and formal system tests.

o Maintains the test requirements database

o Develops and manages test budgets and schedules





o Keeps abreast of improvements in system test engineering techniques

o Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services

o Actively drives the management and resolution of system ARQs and Issues

Minimum Job Requirements:

Qualifications

o Bachelor's degree in Technology (B Tech) or Master’s in Computer Application (MCA) or related field

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

o Minimum 5 years’ experience in manual Software Testing

o Experience analyzing and testing complex engineering software

o Experience in Device testing in embedded environment is a plus

o Display a sound understanding of software development life-cycle

o Software Development or familiarity with Python, Playwright frmaeworks

o Effective written and oral communication skills are required

o proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio and other MS Office Applications

o Experience with test automation is desirable
