Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Gold Loan Manager to manage the end-to-end gold loan operations of our Vadodara branch.

This role offers the opportunity to lead gold loan appraisal, sanctioning, custody, and recovery functions while ensuring accuracy, security, and full compliance with policy and regulatory norms.

Job Responsibilities

Manage gold loan appraisal, disbursement, custody, and recovery to ensure smooth and compliant branch operations.

- Oversee gold loan operations including gold appraisal, valuation, and purity testing.
- Verify ornaments, weigh them, and assess loan eligibility as per Society policy and LTV norms.
- Sanction and disburse gold loans within delegated authority.
- Ensure complete documentation, KYC, and loan agreements for every gold loan.
- Ensure secure custody - proper packing, sealing, and vault storage of pledged gold.
- Monitor loan accounts, interest collection, renewals, and overdue follow-up.
- Handle release of gold on loan closure after due verification.
- Manage the auction process for defaulted loans as per applicable rules.
- Maintain gold loan registers, MIS, and statutory records.




- Train and supervise gold loan staff and appraisers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory / co-operative norms and internal audit requirements.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with hands-on gold appraisal experience and strong credit judgement.

- Graduate (B.Com preferred).
- Practical knowledge of gold appraisal, valuation, and purity testing.
- 3 to 7 years of experience in gold loan operations at a bank, NBFC, or co-operative society, including hands-on appraisal.
- Sound credit assessment and risk judgement.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and custody discipline.
- Team leadership and member-handling ability.
