Role Purpose

To lead day-to-day supply chain planning and execution for Alternate Channels (Modern Trade, E-commerce, and CSD), ensuring strong service levels, healthy inventory, and disciplined process adherence. The role involves hands-on execution, co-ordination with supply Distribution planners and be the Supply chain lead to Sales for concerned channels.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demand Supply Execution

- Support forecast finalization and supply planning for MT, E-commerce, and CSD channels in SOP cycles.
- Work closely with MT / E-commerce teams to capture:
- Promotions -Event-based demand (sale days, spikes)

- - Seasonal demand
- New launches
- Pack sizes, combos, and bundling

- Convert demand into deployment and replenishment plans aligned with plant and DC capacities.

2. Order Fulfilment Service Levels

- Oversee order processing and execution for:
- Up-to-date Trade/ E-com customers
- CSD Delivery as per CSD norms

- Monitor Order management process and facilitate Order to invoice process.
- Track OTIF, fill rates, and order cycle time.
- Coordinate resolution of short supplies, order holds, and delivery failures.

3. Inventory Management (Channel-Wise)

- Monitor customer-wise and DC/CFA-wise inventory levels against norms.
- Ensure timely replenishment while avoiding over-stocking and ageing.
- Actively track and drive reduction of:
- Slow-moving inventory
- Expiry-prone SKUs
- Damages and returns (especially for E-commerce and CSD)

5. CSD Operations Support

- Support planning and servicing of CSD depots as per allocation and norms.
- Track depot-wise lifting and follow up for variances.

6. Team Coordination

- Coordinate Supply Chain Executives / Planners handling operations.
- Allocate tasks, monitor daily deliverables,



and ensure process discipline.
- Act as the first escalation point for execution issues within the team.

7. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with:
- Sales / Business Teams
- Supply/Distribution Planners
- Warehousing Logistics partners

- Participate in weekly planning and review meetings.
- Provide inputs for SOP / planning forums as required.

8. Reporting MIS

- Prepare and maintain regular MIS on:
- Service levels
- Inventory ageing
- Customer-wise performance
- Penalties, claims, and deductions

- Support root cause analysis for service gaps and execution issues.

Key Skills Competencies

Functional Skills

- Understanding of Alternate Channels / Key Accounts supply chain
- Basic to working knowledge of:
- Modern Trade operations
- E-commerce supply models
- CSD institutional channels

- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- ERP exposure (SAP preferred)

Behavioural Skills

- Strong execution focus and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Stakeholder coordination and follow-up discipline
- Team handling at an operational level

Qualifications Experience

- Graduate / MBA (Supply Chain / Operations preferred)
- 4-7 years of experience in supply chain / customer service / planning
- Prior exposure to MT / E-commerce / Institutional channels desirable
- FMCG / Consumer Products experience preferred

Key Success Measures

- OTIF / service levels for alternate channels
- Inventory ageing and expiry control
- Accuracy and timeliness of execution
- Reduction in customer complaints, penalties, and rework
- Team coordination and adherence to processes
