Synchronics Electronics is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly & Fitter Technician to join our Engineering team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the precision dismantling, repair, and reassembly of industrial motors, servo motors, and complex mechanical assemblies from global brands like Siemens, ABB, and Bosch Rexroth. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment including hydraulic presses, bearing pullers, and precision measuring instruments, ensuring that every component meets exacting industrial standards. This is a hands-on position perfect for a skilled technician who takes pride in meticulous workmanship and understands the critical importance of precision in industrial electronics repair.

Key Responsibilities

- 1Skillfully dismantle and reassemble AC/DC motors and servo motors, including those with permanent magnet rotors, following precision protocols and safety procedures
- 2Remove, inspect,



and install critical components including bearings, shafts, couplings, pulleys, servo valves, and pneumatic valves with meticulous attention to tolerances and clearances
- 3Operate specialized equipment such as bearing pullers, hydraulic presses, arbor presses, and bearing heaters while maintaining safety standards and equipment integrity
- 4Perform comprehensive mechanical diagnostics including shaft play checking, bearing condition assessment, alignment verification, and wear analysis on industrial equipment
- 5Identify and document damaged components (threads, shafts, housings, bearing seats) and provide detailed technical assessment for repair or replacement decisions
- 6Maintain detailed documentation, technical photographs, and component marking throughout the dismantling and reassembly process to ensure accurate reconstruction
- 7Read and interpret mechanical drawings, exploded assembly diagrams, and technical specifications to execute repairs with precision and consistency

Requirements

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, fitting, or industrial equipment repair
- Proven experience working with servo motors, industrial motors, gearboxes, actuators, pumps, or similar precision mechanical equipment




- Strong proficiency with mechanical measurement instruments including vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and depth gauges
- Expertise in bearing removal and installation techniques, oil seal replacement, and mechanical seal handling
- Ability to work with precision and cleanliness standards on expensive industrial equipment where component damage carries significant consequences
- Experience reading technical drawings and exploded assembly diagrams with ability to visualize complex mechanical systems
- Demonstrated ability to solve mechanical assembly problems independently and collaborate effectively with engineering teams
