Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Architect to define, govern, and communicate the target SAP architecture in alignment with business strategy, ERP transformation roadmap, enterprise architecture principles, and global IT standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programs, enterprise architecture, solution design, integration architecture, SAP BTP, and architecture governance. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, implementation partners, and regional IT organizations.

Key Responsibilities

- Define, maintain, and communicate the SAP S/4HANA target architecture aligned with business strategy, ERP roadmap, enterprise architecture principles, and global IT standards.
- Translate business capabilities, process requirements, and transformation objectives into scalable, secure, maintainable S/4HANA solution architectures.
- Design and govern end-to-end integration architecture between SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, legacy systems, regional applications, data platforms, and external partners.
- Lead architecture assessments, fit-to-standard/fit-gap workshops, solution design reviews, and architecture decision-making.
- Identify architectural risks, dependencies, technical debt, integration challenges, and opportunities for standardization.
- Create and maintain SAP architecture blueprints, target-state roadmaps, architecture decision records, interface overviews, extension guidelines, and solution design principles.
- Provide architectural guidance to SAP functional teams, technical teams, product teams, external implementation partners, and local IT organizations throughout design, development, testing, migration, deployment, and hypercare.
- Ensure security, compliance, data protection, authorization, scalability, performance, lifecycle management, and operational requirements are incorporated into solution designs.
- Evaluate SAP innovations, architecture patterns, cloud capabilities, and transformation approaches.
- Recommend pragmatic architecture solutions that improve business value, reduce complexity, and support the long-term SAP roadmap.
- Establish and enforce architecture governance, design standards, and SAP best practices across transformation programs.
- Support modernization initiatives involving SAP BTP, APIs, Fiori, middleware, extensions, and integration platforms.
- Assess the impact of architectural decisions on business processes, master data, transactional data, security, authorization, operations, and supportability.




- Work closely with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to ensure SAP architecture aligns with the overall enterprise technology strategy.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise
- 15+ years of professional experience in SAP architecture, SAP solution design, enterprise applications, or large-scale ERP transformation programs.
- Strong experience as an SAP Enterprise Architect / SAP Solution Architect / System Architect in complex S/4HANA transformation programs.
- Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and core ERP processes.
- Strong knowledge of SAP integration architecture and heterogeneous application landscapes.
- Experience with SAP BTP, APIs, Fiori, middleware, and SAP extension concepts.
- Strong understanding of master data, transactional data flows, integration patterns, and end-to-end business processes.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP architectures and transformation programs.
- Knowledge of satellite systems such as AEB, OpenText, or similar enterprise applications is desirable.
- Familiarity with architecture management tools such as LeanIX or Alfabet is preferred.
- Strong understanding of fit-to-standard and clean-core-oriented SAP transformation principles.
- Knowledge of security, authorization, compliance, data protection, scalability, reliability, and lifecycle management.
- Experience in architecture governance, design authorities, architecture review boards, and technical decision-making.

Enterprise Architecture & Governance
- Ability to develop current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures.
- Strong experience creating architecture blueprints, roadmaps, principles, standards, and decision documents.
- Ability to evaluate multiple solution options and provide architecture recommendations based on business value, cost, risk, and long-term maintainability.
- Experience identifying technical debt and developing remediation strategies.
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles and ERP transformation methodologies.

Stakeholder Management
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear technical and architectural concepts.




- Strong communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating fit-gap workshops, architecture review meetings, solution design sessions, and design authority discussions.
- Ability to coordinate across global business units, IT teams, vendors, implementation partners, and regional organizations.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and structured problem-solving approach.

Education & Certifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, Engineering, Business Administration with IT specialization, or equivalent qualification.
- SAP S/4HANA certification is preferred.
- SAP BTP, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, or Security certifications are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in international/global SAP transformation programs.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, or rollout programs.
- Exposure to SAP BTP-based extension and integration strategies.
- Experience with SAP clean core, API-led integration, and modern SAP architecture patterns.
- Experience with architecture management platforms such as LeanIX or Alfabet.
- Knowledge of AEB, OpenText, or other SAP satellite solutions.
- Strong understanding of SAP application lifecycle management and operational architecture.
