Role Overview

The Server Engineer will support the installation, operation, and maintenance of physical and virtual server infrastructure within a mission-critical data center environment. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of compute platforms that power enterprise and cloud workloads.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers in the datacenter.
- Perform OS (Windows/Linux) administration, patching, and upgrades.
- Monitor server performance, capacity, and uptime using monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot hardware, storage, and OS-related issues, escalating to vendors when needed.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.) and ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Ensure compliance with datacenter security, ISMS, and operational policies.
- Maintain server documentation, SOPs, and change management records.




- Collaborate with network, storage, and DC operations teams for smooth functioning.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in server administration or datacenter operations (freshers welcome).
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments.
- Familiarity with virtualization concepts (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).
- Understanding of networking basics (IP, DNS, DHCP) is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexibility to work in 24x7 shift operations.
