Reports to: Consultant Cardiologist / Head of Department
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage adult patients with cardiovascular diseases in OPDwardsemergency and ICU settings.
- Assess and manage acute coronary syndromesheart failurearrhythmiasvalvular heart disease and hypertensive emergencies.
- Perform and interpret ECGscardiac biomarkers and basic cardiac investigations.
- Assist in echocardiographystress testing and other non-invasive cardiac investigations.
- Assist consultants in coronary angiographyPCI and other cardiac proceduresas applicable.
- Provide peri-procedural and post-procedural patient care.
- Manage cardiac emergenciesincluding acute MIcardiogenic shock and life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Participate in CCU/cardiac ICU rounds and emergency/on-call duties.
- Maintain accurate medical recordsdischarge summaries and clinical documentation.
- Participate in academic activitiescase presentationsteaching and clinical research.
- Supervise and guide junior residents/interns.
