Area Sales Manager

Location- Indore

Role Overview
Will lead sales operations for Madhya Pradesh. The role involves driving revenue growth, managing distributor and channel networks, leading a regional sales team, and expanding market presence in both urban and semi-urban markets.

Key Responsibilities
~ Sales & Revenue Growth
* Achieve and exceed sales targets
* Develop and execute state-wise and territory-level sales strategies
* Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors, dealers, and channel partners
* Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and untapped markets

~ Team Leadership
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers / Sales Officers
* Set targets, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews
* Coach and train the team to improve productivity and sales effectiveness

~ Channel & Distributor Management
* Appoint, manage, and strengthen distributor and dealer networks
* Ensure effective stock management, credit control, and collections
* Improve market coverage, visibility, and product availability

~ Market & Strategy
* Analyze market trends,



competitor activity, and customer insights
* Plan and execute promotions, schemes, and trade marketing activities
* Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams

~ Reporting & Compliance
* Maintain accurate sales forecasts and MIS reporting
* Ensure CRM and reporting discipline
* Adhere to company policies and compliance standards

Required Qualifications
# Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
# Candidates must have prior experience in FMCG Industries only
# 8+ years of sales experience with at least 4-5 years in a managerial role
# Strong experience handling MP markets
# Proven success in distributor-led or channel sales models
# Solid leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
# Willingness to travel extensively
