Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing and implementing purchase and procurement strategies for the hotel.
- Develop vendor data base for operating supplies & equipments, engineering equipment and technical goods etc
- Ensure that all contracting and procurement activities are conducted in accordance with policy and sound, ethical, business practices
- Responsible for day to day handling of procurement function
- Responsible for handling multi-faceted tasks and should be able to work under pressure.
- High degree of integrity.
- Utilize robust negotiation skills to maximizing the value of investments while minimizing risk and liability exposure
- Determine the appropriate source selection for technology, infrastructure, services, supplies and equipment, considering their effect on cost competition, performance and advantage
- Develop contract plans,



select and qualify contractors, oversee the bid process, execute contracts, and negotiate changes and disputes on large engineering and construction projects
- Work closely with the Project Management Office, Project Engineering Department, construction management firms; Facilities, Maintenance and Finance departments to ensure all project / budget requirements and schedules are met
- Vendor development at global and local level, Alternative vendor development, indigenous vendor development etc
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge and awareness of local; national and international supply markets and vendors.
- Assist the purchase manager to implement systems and procedures related to procurement
- Provide an ethical and consistent approach to the procurement of goods and services
- Instrumental in the selection and appraisal of suppliers from the preferred vendor database and performance measurement of the same
- Take part and assist in supplier and service provider negotiations.
- Conduct techno commercial evaluation of offers and Cost Estimation
- Follow-up and expedite the delivery.
- Ensure that there is no delay in project execution on account of procurement
